Our Property
The garden is 'natural' with no manicured lawns or flower beds (solely dependent on rain). Next to the cottage is our small fruit orchard and a mixed rose garden, while next door the chickens have dust baths and the vegetable patch produces organic food.
Catch the early morning sun with breakfast on the patio or watch the horses and villagers coming home for dinner and the sunset illuminating the mountains and village while you braai your dinner.
The wonky walls and charming interior with splashes of colour is cozy and inviting. We have kept the furnishings simplistic with patched armchair, lots of colourful cushions, tree stump tables, 50's retro cupboards and oil lamps.
Typical of a rural lifestyle where nothing is wasted and Granny's heirlooms and art are on display.

We had fun decorating the boring concrete with river stone patterns

The east facing patio is a delightful spot for early morning breakfast

Watch the light on the mountains at sunset while you wait for dinner on the BBQ

The large braai with grid and potjie hanger is a great place to relax

The furnishings are a collection of re-cycled and inherited pieces.

Congregate for dinner or a game of chess

Small but pratcial with everything you need right there
